Jude Anthany Joseph's third feature, after Ohm Shanti Oshana and Oru Muthassi Gadha, released on Prime Video at midnight today. This seemingly feel-good film, also seemingly made in limited spaces and with a shoestring budget, tackles a concept and issue never tested before in Malayalam cinema circles. In Sara'S, we follow the life of Sara Vincent (Anna Ben), a young, bubbly, yet unapologetic filmmaker who struggles to make it big in the industry. She continuously assists male directors and is in the scripting works of her dream film. Sara has decided, from her school days, that she would not bear any kids. This is when she meets Jeevan (Sunny Wayne); her relationship with him subsequently brings her ideology and decision into a confrontation with the established norms of society, family and child-rearing. Anna Ben in Sara'S The best aspect in which Sara'S has excelled, without doubt, is its hard-hitting taut script. Debutant Akshay Hareesh deserves praise for managin...
When the Jurassic Park came out to the silver screen, movie-goers had expected to see something off the books, something the Spielberg-y style; and Steve Spielberg didn't disappoint in carrying out that job. As the two sequels moved on, the same audience had somewhat lost hope on the dinos hitting the screen once again. But when Colin Trevorrow promised something big, the hopes were revived once again. Here's the review on Jurassic World.
We are journeyed back to the old Isla Nublar we saw in the 1994 Jurassic Park, but this time it is no longer the old dinosaur breeding/sanctuary park but a high tech amusement theme park, or figuratively the Disney land of dinosaurs. Headed by Simon Israni(Irrfan Khan) and the park's bossy yet brave operations manager, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the scientist group at JW create a hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, for the intention of attracting sponsorship and at the same time increase visiting numbers. However, the highly intellectual artificial dinosaur escapes and all hell breaks loose. Claire, along with the funny Owen Grady(Chris Pratt), Velociraptor trainer and tamer at JW, goes on a quest to stop the havoc and also save Claire's nephews(Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson).
The originality of Jurassic Park is not followed and may not be the highlight of Jurassic World, but what turns out to be is all but the CGI and visual extravaganza Colin Trevorrow has directed successfully to this movie. While the storyline has some bumps and pits on its way to the climax, the outline is not at all different from the original film- a scary man-eating dino who breaks loose and starts devouring people and the protagonists running away to survive the attack and triumphing in the end.
It seems that Steven Spielberg has cast his footprints in the fourth edition of the Jurassic Park series.
Unlike the two sequels of Jurassic Park, this sequel offers more surprisingly amazing visual elements a moviegoer can enjoy-roaring dinos,a humongous t-rex, flying dinosaurs and most of all a "holy-s**t" mega Indomius Rex kicking a** right in the face of those watching the movie in 3D.
Other than Trevorrow's direction and the extraordinary CGI in the movie to commend on, there is Bryce Dallas Howard's scared-as-s**t (and crazy running on high heels) that covers the glitches the audience might feel in the plot of the movie. Not to forget Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt who makes his presence felt as the raptor trainer Owen Grady- savvy,easy-going and a relaxed hero ready to fight the dino all by himself.
As a movie that hits the screens as a summer blockbuster and for those who want to enjoy their holidays in a roller coaster ride of fun and fear, Jurassic World is the perfect pick to watch and enjoy and is worth the money you have paid.
MPAA rating: PG-13 ( for intense sequences of science fiction violence and peril )

Filled with visual spectacle and outlined by a rather bumpy story, Jurassic World is the deserved sequel to the original Jurassic Park and does not disappoint those who go to watch the movie for sheer fun, crazy thrill and all-out excitement.Runtime: 124 mins
